Imaginary Bitches Season Finale

25Aug08

As sad as I am that the Bitches had to end their season,  I am happy to say that it ended on a high note.  Throughout the first season we saw Eden in many different situations.  The first show was fun and wacky but didn’t really get into anything too deep.  She was just a girl who’s subconscious developed two imaginary friends, Heather and Catherine, to help her cope with the loneliness she felt when her best friends no longer had time for her.  In the early episodes it seems as though Eden was just using Heather and Catherine as a way to speak her mind and to let people know how she really felt.  Then, as the season progressed, we were able to see a deeper side of Eden.  The situations she was put in allowed us to see that maybe Heather and Catherine were created to allow her to see inside herself.  She started to learn some things about herself that she didn’t know before.

In the earlier episodes you wonder how far this show could go.  Rest assured that the writers made it possible for this show to expand when they allowed us to see deeper into Eden’s inner self.  In the two part season finale, Eden finally started to let her guard down.  Up until now we were never really allowed to see her as vulnerable.  With the help of a new “friend”, Jennifer, Eden is forced to face why she really has a hard time with relationships.

Where will these newly found insights lead?  Are the Bitches here to stay? I guess we’ll just have to wait until Season 2 to find out.
